Hi,

There might be an obvious answer to this but thought I'd ask anyway!  When can I give my little boy who is 10 months old peach, and pears etc without softening them with a little water in a saucepan first?  Say if I was having a pear for example could I just cut up a little for him to eat straight away?

Thanks

If he can chew, I would say yes, but with adult supervision at all times!  Winston is now almost 8 months and we just cut things up fine, and I have hold of him, and make sure that he eats what is in his mouth before letting him have a 2nd piece of anything.

It depends how well he chews. If it's a really soft pear, in very small pieces that he can mash up by 'chewing' with his gums or any teeth he does have, then it should be fine.
