I thought that periods were meant to stop with the Implant, but mine are all over the place.  It's been 6 months now surely they should've settled down?

I believe its how your body reacts to it. Some ppl stop all together or like Nicki said you bleed all the time.

I would go back to your gp and ask them what if anything you can do. I know they can give you tablets if you bleed continueously but i'm no good really with this stuff as i'm scared to death of trying anything like this. xxxxxxxx

I'd definitely go back to your gp if you aren't happy!  It is very much an unknown thing, and like pg, everyone has a differnt reaction.  Hope you get it sorted soon and get peace of mind over it!

Im on the injection and I spot constantly.  Like Vix said - everyone reacts differently to them.  May be that its not uncommon, but I would get it checked out to be on the safe side hunny xxxxx

Aww Connacher, unfortunately it takes around 3 months for the body to get used to the hormones, but it does get better.  I was thrilled to bits when I missed a period altogether last month!  Now they've returned with a vengence.

I don't get pain, just long periods.  This one has been 10 days so far.  Maybe I should make a doctors appointment.

Hey chica.

Sounds like your implant doesnt agree with you, id say speak to your gp.  It may be that the level of hormones that the implant releases isnt enough to keep you sorted.  It does take a while for it to get sorted, but 6 months and the amount of time you are bleeding to death is a bit of a mickey take.  Me being me, id have it whipped out and go back onto the pill...but I dont have that option grrrr.
