I've had an idea that I'm going to try out over the next few weeks.

I've tried the naughty corner, and that just doesn't work for my lo's. So, I've cleared the hall so that there's nothing in it. I'm going this afternoon to buy a little chair and that's all that will be in the hall. Then, when their naughty, that's where their going to go and they can scream for their minute and I'm not distracted by it (so my other lo doesn't get left out for doing anything wrong)

I'll let you know how it goes.

Sounds like an excellent plan! I have no safe space to do this at the moment, which is why I have so much of a problem with it, but we do have the comfy chairs in the kitchen and Fred doesn't get down from them without permission, he is learning slowly!

My lo's use the hall.

We have a stair gate on so they cant escape up the stairs, but we have a naughty spot instead and I used an off cut of red carpet and cut into a circle to 'mark' the spot.

It seems to be working for us,

Good idea! Hope it works for you...Meg got put in the naughty corner for the first time today, honestly you'd have thought i'd tried to kill her the way she screamed!

She ran straight back out so i asked her to say sorry to which she replied " i dont want to say sorry" and continued to cry...so i said " if you dont say sorry you can go back in the corner" then i got the appology...I told her it was naughty to throw things and that it really hurt daddy... 2 minutes later she scratched my face and pulled my eye lids (OUCHY!) So i told her to stop it, but she didnt...i said i would put her in the corner...she wailed "noooo" but carried on hurting me...so i put her in the corner and she cried her eyes out again...but this time stayed there...i left her a minute or so and then asked for her to say sorry...she eventually obliged and i explained that she mustnt pull people's faces like that and that it hurts

Did i do that right? I'm really not sure...but she didnt repeat those 2 offences for today!

We did this for Tom, had a little chair in the hall. But Bam Bam developed muscles at an early age and can carry it into the living room to watch telly!!

So he goes in his cot for time out now!

We aint got a naughty corner - no corners spare!!! Been thinking about this one for a while though cos Lewis is really testing the boundaries and my patience is fast running out!!!
