I'm moving into my new house on saturday and my boyfriend (lolol boyfriend, my arse, he's old!!) has volunteered his removal services.

Now I was quite happy not to have him meet the children just yet as we've only been seeing each other since January, but his help is much needed (and appreciated) and he's cool about doing it so I thought thank you and why not.

However, even though I'm trying to be cool about him meeting the boys and the family I'm quietly apprehensive.

We've agreed that at this stage he'll be introduced as mummy's friend and he won't be staying over until the boys are away.

Anyway, some of you had asked if he'd met the boys yet so I thought an update was in order.

Wish me luck!

Zoe sometimes this kind of meeting is better. It wont be uncomfortable or fake, it'll just be natural he'll be there and once you're all settled he can stay for a drink and the boys will have seen him all day so wont be phased by the new face. I think it will make the introduction much easier all round! (He'll also be so busy moving boxes your mummy wont be able to pin him down for a lengthy questioning hehehe)

Im sure the boys will love him babe! And there is nothing about your 2 for him not to love. The boys will pick up if you are uneasy so try and stay relaxed, it'll go fine!

Good luck with it all, and with the move and meet and all of it. I need your new address hehehe

Yay nice one Zoe!  Make sure he's under your thumb now lol!  Just kidding, as Chris has said with him helping it won't be such a bad thing, and it gives the boys a chance to meet the guy without thinking too much of it!

Well done you.  Hmm...wouldnt do the this is mummys friend, cos you dont sleep with your friends chica.  Your best bet, is just introduce him with his name, and just let them get on with it.  I did that with Tasja, this is Joe, and just left it at that.  She was 2 nd half when me and joe got back together and never batted an eyelid.  Joe stayed over when tasja was away to begin with, and then I decided to have joe over in the afternoon, and then he was still there the next morning.  Tasja never batted an eyelid, youd be surprised at how stretchy kids hearts are.  Room for everyone, so don't panic, itll be fine.

Good luck with the move!

Try not to get too stressed about the boys meeting new blokie If you act all worried they might pick up on it. Just be natural, and by the time things are moved, I'm sure they'll have their own impressions of him!
