Hi, welcome to the site.

Like Dani has said, I think the best thing is to visit the GP, especially if this is something that has only been going on for the past six months. That's not to say that you have anything to worry about, but it's always best to get any unusual changes checked out. There are many things that can lead to your cycle going screwy, stress, weight loss or gain, if you've been ill lately, among many others, but your GP should be able to look at your circumstances in more detail and work out what's going on.

Good luck, Rachel x

Hi welcome to Madmums.  Did you come off birth control pill or injection before you started having messed up cycles?  Sometimes they can affect your cycle for a long time afterwards.  The cycle is usually delayed because ovulation is delayed as the luteal phase stays pretty much the same give or take a day every month.  You could start trying to temp your cycles that way you would know when you ovulate and would get an idea of your luteal phase too.  As has been said there are lots of reasons for messed up cycles ranging from birth control to cycsts on the ovaries.  A trip to the dr might be a good idea, they may suggest trying the pill to regulate your cycles for a while.  Are you worried about your cycle because you want to start trying to concieve or for other reasons?
