Please help - anyone have any experience of this??? I'm really scared.

DH took Louise to see Janet the HV yesterday at the end of clinic as there was no-one around and Janet mentioned German Measles so we got an emergency appointment with the doctor who gave us a printout about the above.  We ahve to go back in on Monday no matter what and if she takes a turn for the worse to call her on her mobile and she will arrange a blood test.  I'm so worried

We took her to the docs because she has a bad rash all over her torso and down her legs and a little bit on her face.

She had the MMR jab when she was 13 months old, now 18 months.

The HV mentioned GM because she said the rash is characteristic of it.  Suppose i'm just scaring myself and stressing out as I thought she couldn't get this after having the MMR.

As I said in chat hun, try not to worry, the info I showed you is not such a scarey thing.  All you can do is wait until Monday and see what happens.

Tasja had german measles when she was 6 months old...the doc i called out in the middle of the night basically told me over the phone that i was a neurotic first time mum, didnt have a clue and she was probably teething.  At 3am with having a rash covered baby, alone cos hubby at the time was away..was not very reassuring.  I saw her hubby also a doc the next day who said yes gm, why didnt you call us out..when i pointed out..you know when the phone rang at 3am this morning..well that was just me..and tell your wife to stay the eff away from me and my daughter.  He took that really well.  Tasja was fine..lots of different drugs etc, compulsary quarantine etc.  But apart from that no probs.  She hadnt had the mmr at that point as she was only 6 months old.  Obviously my antibodies werent strong enough to ensure she didnt get it.  But stuff like this happens.  The point behind the innoculations is not to PREVENT these diseases happening, but to stop the major disabilities that could occur due to the diseases.

Has she had a high temperature at all lately or a virus at all.

Ollie has had a high temp for the last week and once the temp broke yesterday he is now covered in a rash that looks like German Measles although I am pretty sure it isn't I think it's a reaction to the virus he has had.  He has had his MMR and thankfully I am rubella immune
