Sorry hun, I've not had a section so cant answer your questions but I'm sure someone will be able to help you.  I can say that after giving birth the last time I bled for just over 6 weeks.  The bleeding would ease off and almost stop but a day or so later would start again.  I got my first period at about 14 weeks post birth.  I think it can start and stop depending on how much you are doing, I started playing rounders only 7 days after giving birth and found I bled more after a match.

Sorry I'm not much help, I hope someone else is for you.

I had a section begining of Sept and had first period near end of Oct and had terrible cramps with it.  I wouldn't know about diarreaha though I didn't have any but everyone may be different.  Can you ask hv or if worried go see doc?

Hope your worries are over soon hun.

I had two c-setions and my periods after my first were horrendous, i bled for nearly 2 weeks and after that they were heavy and long, but with my second c-section i stopped bleeding after 2 days and my periods started about 6 weeks after the birth and have returned to normal now.
The only thing that is different now is that i am on the mini pill now instead of the depo injection.

I was the same bleed wise, although I just asumed it was another bleed and not my periods! I would guess that your other problem could very well be to do wit a bug you have.  Although saying that I never go anywhere when I'm on, as I always have the problem of going to the loo 'properly' each time I go, and it is very loose!  HTH  If it continues for a week or so, op down to your gp, but I'm almost ositive you'll be fine!

I had a C-section with Cerys and I stopped bleeding after about 4 weeks.

A week after the bleeding stopped I started bleeding again with cramping pains and phoned the nurse at the doctors worrying that perhaps something was wrong and she reminded me that it was probably my period, which it turned out it was. I was Breastfeeding as well which as someone has already mentioned normally periods take longer to return.

I'm expecting a similar thing this time I must admit.  However, if you are concerned at all then def speak to your HV or the nurse at the doctors.

Hi Emma.

I bled for nearly 6 weeks after my section, the bleeding stopped for 3 days and then I had my first period.

If you've got flu like symptoms, it might be worth having a chat with your HV or GP just to make sure that everything is OK.

Let us know how you get on.
