Can anyone help me ?

For the last 2 years my periods have started with a bit of spotting, then the actual period a couple of days later. For the last two weeks I've had the spotting but no sign of my period. I am dieting but doing it sensibly and I can't be pregnant as we use condoms and none of them have burst.

Might be worth doing a pg test just in case - you never can be 100% sure.

My periods have been odd recently - have you recently come off a different type of contraceptive?

I also find once every 6 months I have a nasty period then it all goes back to normal.

If you're not sure see your gp just to put your mind at rest.

Have you had any other discomfort? Itchyness? etc

Is the blood fresh or brownish (sorry)?

It's ok Madz. It's very, very light blood. Only really there when I wipe. Have had cramps which I thought was the start of it but nope.

Hi Hazy

There's all sorts of things that can cause your cycle to go screwy, even if you're doing it sensibly, weight loss can be one of these, as can stress, minor illness, and many other things. If you've been having spotting for a fortnight though, and this is completely new for you, then I would definitely take a trip to the GP, just because anything like that really should be checked out. I know that no condoms have burst, but it still may be worth doing a pg test, just to rule this out.

Hope you get some answers soon
