hi all,i trained bronze when she was 18 months last summer,i started by leaving her wearing nothing so she could associate the feeling of it to the puddle that was then on the floor...so she understood when she needed to go..then i just left the potty i the room for her to use as she pleased(played with it etc) then made a fuss if she sat on it and made a huge fuss when she weed and gave her a sticker...she did have a few accidents but i just said "never mind" and didnt get stressed...she managed to be dry in a week! her language skills did help,i was able to talk to her etc.. i tried the pull up things when we went out but i found she just thought it was a nappy and weed in it so that was no good so just left her in knickers and dealt with the accidents if they happened which they do,they have to learn somehow!

hope everyone goes okay with it good luck and dont stress!!

Love to all.

How's it going? (Sorry about the pun.)

Already stressing now she will not get dressed now. Just keeps telling me she wants nappies, but she knows when she needs to go else wouldn't ask for a clean nappy before then after.

I'm going  to let her have her own way today. Train her dolly today try her tomorrow.

I saw a mum tell off her two lo's for accidents at a local play & stay and was horrified at the time but I appreciate how stressing it can be.

Do not understand my DD though as  she wil generally use her toilet seat before/after bath just not the rest of the time.

aw,it is hard but bite your lip and smile give her reassurance,it cant be easy for them, using nappys from day one then all ov a sudden their expected to do it somewhere else with no good reason, its daunting for them, just persist and youl get there! try offering a sticker if she can even sit on it for a few mins, and a SPECIAL sticker if she wees!

good luck xx

good luck everyone with the potty training,

i have been trying with joshua but he wasent very intrested so yesterday when we were at the clinic he asked me to take him to the toilet even though he had a nappy on so i took him to the toilet and he did a poo and a pee twice yesterday and this morning he asked again if i would take him to the toilet and he did a poo and a pee again so hopefully its time.

Rachel is 19 months and will sit in a poo nappy all day.....her nappy could be bursting and still doesn't bother her.

What a difference a day makes. DD had a lie in this morning then went to her clothes drawers & promptly chose the knickers she wanted to wear. All going great so far. Lunchtime still in knickers & no accidents. I'm not exspecting miracles but at least she's happy to try & learn.
