i dont think he's teething, he's got 2 left to come thru, but he's not showing any other signs, i dont think he's well fed before bed time either, he's really fussy with food at the momet, turning his nose up at everything thats put in front of him, altho hv says his weight gain is fine!

thanks for the advice  xx

Just a thought, is he in a cot or in a bed? My DD has never been a good sleeper, but suddenly got very fractious and would wake up 2 or 3 times a night. She was a bit older and eventually started to say "Cot, no" so we moved her to a bed, and she was much better. I'm sure that some ladies on here put their los into beds at 17/18 months.

Really hope he settles soon.

he's in a cot, he's got a bed in his room, but it's a normal single bed and he's too small to climb on it, i've seen little beds, but i'm on my own and money's tight as you can imagine..have got savings, but it's for adams christmas and birthday

Ella's bed is a normal single one too and she can't climb on to it so I bought her a little step from dunelm mill shop. I think it was about £2 although to be honest, she doesn't tend to climb onto the bed herself anyway.

I think with Ella, she found the cot quite closed in whereas the bed is more open if you see what I mean.

I would say try him in a bed, and put some extra cushions etc on the floor in case he falls out.  Has he only just started to wake up at nights or has he always done it?  The reason I ask is you mention not having a decent nights sleep since finding out you were pregnant!  I would make sure his room is totally child proof including a gate at the door.  I would also say there's no need to worry about the height of his bed!!  Kids are resiliant little things.
