I am new here and feeling very low. We got married over a year ago and were TTCing but without luck. I wasn’t familiar with my cycles, was in a very stressful job and my OH was working lots of shifts. I now think my cycles are between 7 to 8 weeks, I have changed jobs so am much happier, and he has changed jobs too, meaning no shifts- yay!! However I am still so down. My SIS is pregnant and while I am so happy for her and can understand why she goes on about it, it is breaking my heart. We have 4 friends due this summer, people are always asking us if we are TTCing and am getting fed up with it. Its at least another month until we can try.

I had reflexology done- no change, I’m on the folic acid, he is taking iron, and I’ve also got the Taking Charge book, but I don’t know what else to do. I found charting complex, and even taking my temperature- with his shifts it was really difficult as I was waking up at all hours. I will try it now they are better but I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on what else to do-especially those ladies with extra long cycles like mine.

I am not usually so downbeat- its just that we’re going to see his sister tonight and she will be complaining about her pregnancy like you wouldn’t believe (they were ttcing and on the day they told us she said the baby couldn’t have come at a worse time…..) I don’t have any friends in similar positions, no one to talk to at work and my OH- well he is so happy for his sister that I cant talk to him. Can I off load on you??

Of course you can! Thats what we're here for.

I'm Maddy I'm 22 and Mum to Edward who is 2 and engaged to Tony.

I have no experience with TTC but I know there are members on the site who chart etc. I will look for some of the previous posts for you to see if they help.

Oh yeah, im steph, 30, married with two girls.

It took me a while to get pg with my second.  It is hard when everyone around you or close to you is pg when you are trying and not getting the result you want so badly.  Try not to stress about it, keep erm going at it so to speak.  Off load on us lot all you like, loads of support as and when you want or need it chica.

Looking forward to gass bagging with you one of the days.  Chin up chick

Hello, I'm Lorna.  Mum to Travis and partner to David.

I also have no advice as I have had no experience of TTC, but I know you can buy ovulation charts/tests from Boots.  I would have no idea if that would work for you or what it does really.

I wish you the best of luck, and keep on with the folic acid!  It's horrid when it feels like everybody around you is pregnant.  One of my best friends had 2 mc's in a row and just saw pregnant people and babies everywhere.  Her neighbour was due round the same time as her and it was tough.  I too have gone through fases of wanting another and although Dp says not just now, it hurt so much when I saw maternity clothes or preggy women.

Take care and hope to speak to you soon, Lorna, xxx

Hi, I'm Dani and mum to twin girls Ashleigh and Lauren who are 2 in September.

I had problems ttc but I have pcos and have no periods at all, so that was hard.

Again I haven't really got any experience of charting etc.

I know how hard it is, when we got married, we were asked so many times about if we were ttc and we were but with no luck for a while. All I can offer you is support should you need it

x

Just liked to say Hi! Not ttc, yet, as I have my hands full with Ben 2 1/2. I'm Helen btw and we live in Cottesmore in Rutland with dh Dean.

There are others in similar positions to you so you're in the right place. I'm sure someone will be able to help.
