Good god, it sounds like you were treated very badly...will you ever find out what happened and why you bled so much?  Or have they drawn a line under it now?  You said they were sending the clots to histology?  Sorry, I truly don't mean to be nosey but it must be so frustrating for you to not know what exactly went on..

How are you feeling now?  I do hope you feel better, at least physically, and are able to get some rest..like has been said, do not rush back to work, you've been thru a hell of an ordeal...

thinking of you, Greedy, xxx

Sam, I am absolutely mortified at how you have been treated, I cant believe the lack of respect, and compassion for you.  It seems going to hospital is the luck of the draw, you are either lucky to receive good care or are treating horribly

I am wishing you all the love in the world for a speedy recovery from your physical pain, and hope you will  cope with the  hurt in your heart over time.  We are all here for you, please just hollar

Sending big hugs to Keith too, it mustve been so hard for him seeing you in so much distress and pain and having to fight to get seen properly

lots of love from our home to yours

sharonxxxx

My bed was only across from the nurses station so I did kind of find out what happened.  The consultant on Sunday morning was on the phone to the registrar ripping his head off.  The consultant was more or less saying that they didn't follow the correct procedure for a multiple miscarriage.  When it was discovered on Friday that the babies had all died they should have had me in and operated.  His words were this was not appropriate treatment of a multiples miscarriage.  So from that I am guessing if you have a miscarriage with more than one baby then there is a greater risk of bleeding too much.  I suppose because mine were identical the placenta would have been very large to support 3 babies therefore when I lost the babies on Saturday morning and the placenta came away it caused excessive bleeding.  Of course up until Sunday morning I only saw 2 different house officers (very junior dr's) and the registrar once who carried out the horrendous procedure on the ward and shoved me full of injections.

Until I saw the consultant on Sunday morning no one seemed to be acknowledging the fact I was miscarrying 3 babies not just one, after this their terminology changed and also their attitude.

v sorry sam - what a trauma for you all

your objective reporting is amazing - hope the pain is easing - as you know it just takes time

miscommunication seems to be the downfall thoughout the nhs - will it ever improve?

I echo what everyone else has said. Your treatment was awful. Did anyone apologise?

Hoping you are able to take it easy and take lots of time to recover both physically and hopefully emotionally.

Sending big hugs
