lol Madz what are they like!!? sleep when you don't want them to....
Ellie woke in the night for a feed at 12am and then at about 3am again but it only took 3 attempts to re-settle her which is an improvement on what we've had the last few weeks so I can't grumble - her hands were like blocks of ice tho so I'm wondering if she was cold altho I've put the right amount of stuff on her according to the temp thing, plus an extra vest! - I put another thin blanket over her at 3am and then woke at 5am worrying that she might overheat...I give up!
I'm going to get some teething powders today to give her in case she is teething - like mumsam says she may be waking with pain from that - she's got v red cheeks... don't like to give her calpol very much just in case she's not in pain, she doesn't scream or anything... I wish she could talk!!

I know what you mean Greedy, When Edward was tiny he would scream all night (and sleep all day). I used to hold him at 4 in the morning after having NO sleep at all and beg him to tell me what was wrong!
This is a breeze in comparason but it doesnt always feel like that at 3am!
Eddies hands were freezing last night too but the rest of him was warmand everything i've read says dont worry about their hands as long as their tummys are warm. Still, we woundnt be human if we didnt worry!

LOL - Thats exactly how I feel!!!!
Last nite, she went to sleep reluctantly at 8pm even though she'd been rubbing her eyes, pulling her ears since 6 and had been in her cots since 7! She woke at 10, then at 10.30 and we fed her. Then, she didn't wake till 3 (hurrah!!!) then 3.30, 4, 4.15, 4.30 and at 5.20, I gave up and got up.... and she fell asleep again at 7.
On the plus side, she's been asleep in her cot this afternoon for 45 mins so far without the need for a bear hug (sorry greedy!!) so we'll see!!!!

Well i suppose it could have been worse.
Edward woke at 10pm for a feed and fed for 15 minutes (I dont understand this, he went to bed at 7.30 after 7oz of hungry baby formula, how can he be hungry still?)
He then woke at 12.50 (arrggghhh!) and fed for 7 or 8 minutes.
He then woke at 3.50 and fed for 10 minutes.
Then he let me lay in til 9.10! I couldnt believe it when I woke up!
I just cant keep getting up in the night, my hips are agony this morning. I might get dp to do a couple of nights with a bottle while we're away. Ummm I cant see that happening for some reason.

Madz - Ella drank 10oz of SMA white at 7pm, then another 4oz at 10pm!!! V strange....
Ella was a teething beast again last night and at some point, DH took her in the spare room with him - have no idea when cos I slept through that bit!!!
I'm sure its teeth now but then again, who knows!!!!

we went out last night and got home at 12am and madam hadn't woken! she woke at 1am and I automatically fed her but she wasn't hungry and only drank a couple of ounces - I think she woke at about 3am a couple of times but I just gave her some teething powders and she went back to sleep and then was awake at 5am - fed her and she slept till 8am!! so not bad at all really... and I didn't have insomnia so I slept well too, hurrah!!!
Madz, you should definitely get your DP to do some feeds if Ed will take a bottle - even if you have one night off - I had one a couple of weeks ago which I spent on the sofa with earplugs and it was amazing how much better I felt after it...
Dizie, loads of people are raving about these teething powders so they might be worth a go? They are herbal so I feel ok giving them to her even if it turns out not to be her teeth...
