Hi

Hoping someone can advise me again :)

Is it normal to experience dragging aches/pains on left and right, and in legs slightly during ovulation? I don't know for sure when i ovulate as only been ttc last few months, but i'm on day 14 now and these are the pains i'm getting right now. It's more of an achy feeling, to be honest it's more uncomfortable than painful. Aside from the egg white (which i don't seem to be getting) are there any other signs i should be looking out for? Sorry if i sound daft but i'm really new to all this.

Thanks in advance

It is quite normal to feel some pain on one side or the other during ovulation, some women feel it others don't.  It can feel a bit achey or some report a sharp stabbing pain.  If you lay down flat and lay your hands flat either side of your pubic bone and find your femeral artery with your middle finger gently.  Your index finger will be resting approximately where your ovaries would be, don't press too hard as you don't want to bruise yourself.  It is thought that the side you ovulate from will be slightly swollen and if you are slightly tender that side too will give you an indication.  I can sometimes tell which side other times I can't. hth
