Has anyone ever used Carefree Aloe panty liners? I hadn't until this last week and I think I might be allergic to them. I know about 14yrs ago I used Always sanitary towels and had a bad reaction to them. For the last week on and off I have thought I was getting thrush as I was very itchy and sore down below (what a lovely topic this is). Yesterday it got unbearable and I had been using caneston cream to no effect. I had to run upstairs and rip the panty liner off as it was driving me nuts. I swapped to just a generic brand sanitary towel and the itching went totally within an hour. Since not using them today I have no irritation at all. Anyone else experienced similar?

I have tryed them before and had pretty much the same thing Sam.
Johnsons baby wipes with aloe make my hands blotchy, and also the freshelle wipes you get with the purple Always towels make things really itchy and sore down there too.
I normally just use tampons or the cheaper, thicker towels and they are fine for me. And yes.... very nice subject to be discussing over our lunches x-x-x

Yes they are meant to be sensitive. I was using the aloe ones as they are meant to reduce swelling not give you swelling!! I thought they were a good idea after recent events and a number of dr's thinking they needed to shove their hands where they shouldn't.

I've heard about reactions to them, I think it's something to do with the gel in the thinner pads, and had been told the best ones to use were the big cheapo ones, as they've got lots of padding and they're just cotton wool and soft paper.

If I have bad pains I put a towel on incase I bleed or spot, and at these times I find I get very irritated down there. I thought using the better brands were supposed to be better for our delicate areas. Glad you seem to have shifted the problem, I was thinking of trying those Always with silk, but I think if I need to use anything I will just use the cheaper brands from now on see how that goes.

I use tesco's own make and have no problems. I did experience irritation with the scented pant liners but not with the towels. But I barely have an AF these days as Im on the depo injection so I only use cheapo pant liners now!!
