hiya ladies, for you that have girls,i was just wondering how they are with you cleaning their bits, bronia is completely out of nappys through the day but wears them for bed still so in a morning when she gets up i either stick her in the bath or use cotton wool/wipes to clean her,she is fine with her bum but she will not allow me to clean her "minnie" (as my gran calls it),she gets quite adgetated,i dunno if its hurting or what,it doesnt look sore at all and its not something thats just started shes done it for ages...i was just wondering if any of your girls are the same,i dunno what to try obviously she needs cleaning coz she gets stinky!

thanks xxx

Fran was similar where as Hayley was fine.  With Fran I used to bath her every night and a good soak would make sure all was clean.  When she went to the toilet I used to give her baby wipes to wipe herself as it was before Kandoos were around but I am sure Kandoo wipes would be just as good.  I used to sing a little song about scrubbing away to get clean and make a joke of it (no you really don't want to hear me sing).  Don't worry too much the smell is normally the body naturally cleaning itself and although not that pleasant for us won't be harmful unless it's a very strong smell that isn't right.  Don't worry about her not wanting you to touch her it's quite normal .  Make sure she wares cotton underware as that will make sure she doesn't get any infections.  Fran does get quite sore down there and still does at her age sometimes I think her wee is just a bit strong. hth

Lauren is fine with me doing this, but Ashleigh hates it and will wiggle right across the room to stop me doing it. As Sam said, a good soak in the bath does the trick

Aww i hope you get this sorted. My girls are the opposite. They won't stop playing with their bits. Now they are having a backwards moment i think. They are weeing every where they can at the minute. I'm getting fed up with cleaning up after them all the time. xxxxxx
