I was wondering if anyone else's little one has been diagnosed with anemia at baby age, and hadn't had their teeth come through yet.  Winston is 10 1/2 months old, and still doesn't seem to have any teeth ready to come through, and shows no real signs of teething.  All 4 of the others had teeth between 8 and 9 months old, but they were teething from the age of 3 months.  However because so much is said about bones and teeth together, knowing that the anemia he has, has exhausted his bones of iron, I was wondering if maybe this could be why he has yet to get any teeth.  Can anyone shed any light on this subject for me?

Not sure I can shed any light on it for you.  Fran was on iodine, calcium and iron drops when she was a baby as she couldn't eat many foods so was deficient in lots of vitamins and minerals.  Her teeth were still coming through at 6mnths though.  She did have a lot of cavities in her baby teeth not due to eating or drinking sweets but because she didn't have the calcium in her body.  He might just be a little slower with the others getting their teeth I know my niece didn't start getting her teeth until she was 14mnths but it didn't seem to deter her from eating. hth
