Hi all!

Have just joined after seeing the article.  Well done Madeline! I am breastfeeding my 8 month old and haven't actually had any negative comments, but I have heard from lots of women who have. I will be writing to my MP too. I really hope that he will see that a law needs to be introduced, it has done wonders in Scotland.

Hope to speak to you all more soon

Welcome to the site!  You're right, it has been a great move here in Scotland, and I hope England will follow suit too.  I hope you stick around and get to know us all, this site is a bit addictive though- just to warn you!

hi I have also just read the towncrier.
it's great that you are trying to get breastfeeding to be thought of as an acceptable thing to do in public.
I have a 7 and 5 year old who i feed until they were about 11 months and i am now feeding my third child who is 8 months old. none of them would take a bottle so feeding in public was a necessity. I did feel the need to hide away  in the grubby toilets that had fluorescent lights in them with the older two but refuse to do it now, and so far so good.
keep up the good work
