Hi, welcome to Madmums!! Is your cycle normally fairly long or is this out of the ordinary. When you say you have been trying to conceive for 15mnths do you mean you have been charting or are you just leaving it to luck? Have you tried charting your basal body temperature or using Ovulation Predicition kits? Do either you or your partner smoke or drink or drink a lot of coffee? There are loads of things that can cause delayed conception including just not getting the correct time of the month. Don't give up you will get there in the end might just take a bit longer than you at first planned.

You could go and see your gp he may not do a lot to start off with but it's good to register with him that you have been trying to conceive for this length of time so it's on record.
There are a few things you can do to help your gp in the future. Taking your basal body temperature is one thing. This is the only way you can truly identify if you are ovulating and when. Most women get a thermal shift the day after they ovulate due to increased progesterone. Take your temperature in the morning before getting out of bed using a bbt thermometer that goes to 2 decimal places. (Lookersgirl on ebay sells them they aren't expensive) either download a paper chart off the net or you can get software on line that does it all for you either from fertility friend or ovusoft. This will pinpoint for you exactly if and when you are ovulating and give you an indication of your luteal phase. To be able to conceive you need to have at least a 10 day luteal phase. Charting would be one of the first things a fertility consultant would advise you to do.

Have you tried using a ovulation calculator?? There are many websites that have ovulation calculators and you can use them for free. All you have to do is put in the date of your last menstrual period and it will tell you what days you are most fertile!! That is what I used to become pregnant and it worked the very first month of trying!!
Also, I do have some other little hints....once you figure out your fertile days, have sex once a day on those days. Also, try and have your orgasm after your husband. Then just lay there for like 30 minutes so all of the sperm doesn't just run out. If this is TMI I am terribly sorry. These are just a few little things that wee did when we were TTC.
