i read this a couple days back and was going to reply.. but i tried to think back to my last mc and i couldn't remember the date or year!!

I've tried so hard to forget about it, and now im wishing i didn't, i wish i could remember the date.

All i can remember is, Taylor was young, and Trudi looked after him whilst me and my ex went to the hospital, but anyways.. it took me a long time to conceive again after my last mc, infact, it took a different partner.

So im guessing around 3 years.

And Sam is totally right, its got nothing to do with luck, as she said its down to genetics and the quality of the egg and sperm...

I gotta admit, i was a serial knicker checker with Sophie, and the day i did spot blood it nearly killed me, i was so sure i was going to mc again.

If you decide to try again, im sending loads of baby dust your way in advance..

I have to say that I agree with everything that MumSam has written above.  I had a miscarriage back in April at the age of 37.  However, I had my little boy at the age of 35 and had no problems whatsoever throughout that pregnancy.  Even though I was classed as a higher risk.

I'm scared about trying again but I am going to.

I dont think there is an exact amount of time you have to wait.

i think it depends on whether or not  you have had  a D&C..

TBH, when I had my mc, it was one question i never asked as i wasnt interested.  I think you should wait at least a fortnight, but if your asking because you want to ttc again then i think its best to wait at least until you have had 1 period but thats my opinion.

I think its down to how soon you'd feel comfortable.

I was told to wait until the bleeding had fully stopped to reduce the risk of infection. To be honest, like Rin said it was absolutely the last thing on my mind.

You also can't use tampons whilst you're still bleeding as there could be clots etc that could back up and cause a problem.

Hi

I had a MC back in April at 9 weeks.  I had the MC on my own, "naturally" without having to have a D&C.  My Dr. told me to wait one full cycle and then we could try when we were ready.  I emotionally felt ready and personally thought that would help me move on, so we waited one month then tried again.  It took three months to get pregnant,  which we thought was not long at all.

Now we are 13 weeks along and are praying for a healthy pregnancy for the remainder.

Sonya

Hi Sonya, thanks for your reply and congratulations on your pregnancy. I'm pregnant again now, 9 + 2 today and feeling quite apprehensive but trying not to freak out too much.

Good luck and fingers crossed that we both have sticky ones this time.
