Harrison (5) has a really red, sore looking willy, yesterday when he was going for a bath i noticed white/creamy discharge in his underpants.

Could he have an infection of somesort?

I asked df but he hadn't a clue, he had the same discharge in his pj pant this morning.  I have splodged some nappy cream on it for now to see how it goes.

I'll book him in to see the gp when the surgery opens tomorrow but just wondered if anyone had come across anything like this with their ds before?

It does sound like he has a little infection down there.
I'd just try to keep it clean and dry until you can get him into the docs hun.

Rin have you got a sunday opening pharmacy near you? They may be able to give you something until you can see a doctor. I'm sure one of my friends little boys had something like this and it was thrush, which they treated with canestan when she got from the pharmacy.

Hope it clears up soon.

If you can get hold of some bepanthemum (sp) use that, book him in to the gp, once it has cleared up, you may need to get a urine sample from him.  It is not as common for men to get urine infections as it is us women, the doc explained that unlike a woman, boys or men have a good 8-10 inches before it is a urine infection, but it still needs to be checked out.  Fred is on his 3rd swollen penis, so by the end of the week I should be able to get a flaming sample out of him!

How is he now? Did you manage to speak to a pharmacist? I hope is feeling ok. I have no experience of Joshua having a discharge, but he did use to get a swollen whigy and the doctor told me then that boys dont usually get urine infections (thats what I thought it was). Try keeping him clean washing in warm water, and let us know what the doctor says xxxx
