Hi I was up most of last night as Jamie-leigh was throwing up. I have no idea why! I had to strip her off and strip all her beddig off. I took her downstairs then she seemed fine. I couldn't understand why she was sick. I know she had, had a long day yesterday. Then i spotted a spot on her arm that looks like a chicken pox. I checked her this morning and she hasn't anymore so i'm not sure now if she has them or not. She ended up sleeping in my bed last night just incase she ended up being bad again.

Any ideas?

Poor wee soul. Lots of chickenpox going about at mo - am just waiting for Cameron to catch it! Not sure if sickness is a symptom of c.pox - can't remember if girls were sick when they had it - don't think so though. Could just be wee tummy bug? Could be c.pox too - some kids get very few spots with it.

What a shame - sorry I've not been much help lol! Hope she's feeling better soon.xxx

Leah had this a few months ago but she had it that bad I took her to hospital. She had a red rash on her back and I got scared. She was floppy, clingy, sick and had diarrhea .

All it was for leah was a tummy bug. They said the rash was viral. There excuse for everything they cant explain.

Thanks ladies she seems to be ok today. I haven't spotted anymore spots so i think i can rule the chicken pox out. Its weird she still hasn't had them after her sister has just got rid of hers. I just think she had a bit of a tummy upset. I'm gonna do them some dinner now so will know when she has eaten it. She has had some breakfast but she didn't eat it all. xxxxx

Hiya,

I had the same thing a couple of weeks ago with my eldest daughter. I put her to bed and she was fine then about half an hour later she was crying. Went to check on her and she had been sick a lot, had to strip the bed and everything, brought her back downstairs and she too seemed fine. Was also fine the next day, so I didn't know what was wrong with her either.

Maybe she was warm or had a tummy upset or something.

hope she's feeling better anyway and sorry I didn't have any advice

How long ago did your other lo have the chicken pox?  It can take a 2 wk incubation period before they get it.  Some children only get a few spots but are more ill with it.  Hayley only had about 8 spots but was really ill, Fran was covered head to toe with chicken pox but wasn't ill at all with them.  Or it could have been something she ate that didn't agree with her and sat on her tummy.  Sometimes kids just get sick and there doesn't seem to be a reason why.

It took about two weeks for Emilie to come out with chicken pox after Alex, and she was a wee bit sicky and tired in those two weeks.

Its around 2 weeks now since Ashleigh had the chicken pox. The spot hasn't turned out to be anything and she has been ok in herself. She hasn't eaten much but other than that she is ok. I think it could be something she ate and didn't go down properly. Thanks Sam i thought that but wasn't sure. I will keep an eye on her. My brother had chicken pox first and he didn't have many spots and was ok in hisself yet i was covered and was really poorly. So it still has time to come out. Thanks ladies i didn't know it could take this long xxxxxxx
