Cherie I symathise 100%. I take strongish codine for the pain but dont like to take too much. Everything else I have taken makes me too drowsy to be a good mum and I'm at the point of getting my walking stick out again.

Have you heard of prolotherapy? It involves injections into the infected area and I had a trial run which seemed successful, unfortunatly there is a very long waiting list so I cant start my proper course until around november.

Madz, have you tried one of the natural cycle plotting ones like persona? The charting software that MumSam and I've been using shows you how to chart your cycle and if you wanted, to use it for birth control by showing you which part of your cycle to avoid to avoid pregnancy.

Not everyone would like it I'm sure but if the traditional ones aren't working, might be worth a try?

Might be worth a shot, although not sure how my periods will be without any help. I went on the pill originally to stop periods. TBH the chances of my concieving even if I wasnt doing anything are low as sex is the last thing on our minds at the moment.

hiya hun,i have been through the same thing, ive been on allsorts, the pill made me sick, all the diff kinds of it,it was a mental thing i just couldnt put it in my mouth and swallo it,yet im fine with other tablets....had injection and got AWFUL MOOD SWINGS with it and patchy heavy bleeding,so i went to the gp and got a diff femele doc who was lovely and totally understanding and she told me about the patch, she said she shouldnt be telling me as it was too expensive and they wernt meant to give it out unless the situation was desprate,it is brilliant for me,im happy, having decent periods every three weeks and just change it weekly,it just sticks on your bum or arm or soewhere and thats it! its a godsend so if you can talk em into giving it a go its well worth it!!

go in crying and say its totally effecting your relationship and sex drive etc worrying about the risk of preg! hope you get something that suits you xxxx

Hi Madz

I'm thinking about the prolotherapy...can you get it on the NHS?
