I'm not sure if you remember me posting about the growth I found in Aimee's mouth a few weeks ago. Well, I tried not to get too concerned about it as the doctor said just to return to see him in a month (around the 14th July) so he could have another look at it and see how it was.
Well I've just received my post and there is a letter for Aimee to attend the Oral Surgery Clinic at my hospital on 10th July. the way the doctor explained things it was nothing serious but something to keep an eye on in the future yet I know how long waiting lists are at my hospital yet she's being seen by the surgeon so soon.
I'm really concerned now, and I really dont know what to think.

I'm sure its just your doc wanting to get it checked out properly by professionals trained in that area. I think if it was anything more serious, he would have told you before though when you first showed him. They are always better to be safe than sorry especially where children are concerned. Fingers crossed its just a check to see how its progressing hun. Hugs x-x-x

Thanks ladies, I know I'm probably getting worked up over nothing, it's just hit me like a brick as surgery etc was mentioned as a possibility but he said he wanted to see her around the 14th first and if it had grow or stayed the same size then he would refer her.
I've rang the hospital and they said it's only been passed over as a regular referal and not an emergency and she said it may be that they just happened tohave a cancelation so have managed to see her sooner than expected. I guess I'll just have to wait until the 10th to see what they say.

Now remember Jen, while you are there, after she has been seen obviously the baby wants to come out, it'll save you 2 trips! lol
But seriously, I wouldn't worry about it, God I wish my hospital had cancellations like that I'd be in my element! I'm still waiting for dd to be seen at the dental place before having her op! The best thing about having so many kids is time flies, so you will be kept occupied, with less time to worry!

He probably said the 14th as he didnt expect an appt to come through so soon either and didnt want to leave a huge gap between appointments. Im sure she is fine, and let us know what the hospital say.

I'm sure there's nothing to worry about, as thers have said kids sometimes get priority for cancellations ect. At least you may find out soon what it is.

Maybe ring the docs and say you were surprised that she was referred probably a good explanation for it.
It's good that your getting seen so quickly. I think Doctors tend to be very cautious with kids and I've always found that Owen's appointment come through very quickly if his kidneys need checked etc.
