Just has let out a few screams the past few nights, but turned over and almost straight back to sleep, so I have left him to it. Anyway, tonight Im sat here, he is sprawlled across his bed with only a top on and no covers over him and I noticed everytime he screamed he was holding himself. I thought maybe he needed a wee, as I think they get bigger if they need a wee. He said he didn't and he sort of rubbed him self till he relaxed and went to sleep. This has happened a few times. He just woke up 5 minutes ago and I said come on lets try for a wee. he said he could go for a wee because his 'whigey' was sore. He rubbed himself and as he started to relax he went to the toilet and wee'd, and then straight back to bed.

He seemed to have no pain or discomfort wee'ing, once he softened a little he was fine. Is it normal for boys to be sore when they are erect? Urine infections arent common in boys, and he is passing urine ok. He doesnt seem to be doing this through out the day, so I wonder if it is something he is dreaming?

Sometimes I feel bad being a mummy, I try to be mummy and daddy but there are just times when I cant answewr things myself as Im not a daddy!

Not sure about this one - would probably take him to doctor if it goes on for any length of time. Don't think it should hurt him when it's erect. Certainly doesn't seem to cause Cameron any pain. Wee soul - is it actually waking him up? Cameron being my first boy - it's all new to me! Sorry can't be more help - but I'd probably get him checked if it was me. xxx

hiya hun,i know as a boy about the same age as josh sean had to be circumsised due to his foreskin being too tight and painfull, his youngest son ryan went through a phase of having similar probs,he would wake up in the morning 'erect' and sometimes the foreskin would be so tight it wouldnt move back as he went soft again.

i would deff se your gp about this hun,it will be causing him some discomfort if it is his foreskin.

hope this helps? lauren xxx

Sorry chick, I've not had this with ichael so I dont know but mamma2bronze has a good point, it is highly possible, especially if its occuring when he's erect.

Sounds like his foreskin is a bit tight and thats whats causing the ouchiness.  Go see the gp chica...cos it wont get better and may need to removed chica.

I know my friends little boys have had to be circumsised due to tight foreskins. It may well be that. Take him to gp if it continues.  Maybe you could ask his dad lol (sorry)

Sometimes Max says his willy hurts and other times it's his bum.  I never see anything and he's always fine within minutes.  There's always something which makes me think it could be for getting attention.  Mind you Max tends to play with his an awful lot, and the way he tugs it...ouch!!!

Could Joshua have trapped his willy?

Let us know how he gets on at the doctor's. xx

He seems to only do it late at night, Im wondering if its because he is holding his wee in and he is associating the 'need a wee' pain with his willy. This being because when he has gone, he says he has no more wee wee left in his willy!

He has been complaining of a sore bum, its very red and the doctor gave him some cream for it, its certainly less red now but he still every now and then says it hurts.

Im just seeing how it goes, there is no consistancy with it!

Males can get infections in their willy without it being a urine infection!  I would get him checked out by the gp hun just to be on the safe side.  It could also just be a case of tight foresking, in which case although they may not be able to do anything they will advise you what to do to deal with it.  It may just mean giving him a little calpol before he goes to bed!
