For those of you who breast feed you babies, I just want to say how fantastic you are.

I did try and failed.

I just want to know at what age did you stop breast feeding ?

I was at a mum & tots play group today and there was this woman and her lo was at least 18 months (full set of teeth and all) and she was still breast feeding.

I stopped at 8 weeks under psychiartist's orders as my pnd was in need of urgent treatment, although i wanted to feed Liam until he was at least 6 months old.

I bf Cameron til he was 8 months.

I breastfed Eds until he was 11 months and only stopped as he self weaned. I loved it and would have carried on for longer but he was ready to make the break. If I had another I would do the same and let them decide when to stop, be it 6 months or 2 years.

I stopped bf Ben this Jan, he was 2 and 4 months. Didn't really want to stop, but as having trouble with painful tender breasts, and Ben not sleeping. Its ok now though. I exclusively bf for 5 1/2 months, and in the end was only feeding him last thing at night.

Breastfeed first baby until 3 months, second baby 7 months and 3rd baby 8months. I weaned them all, but looking back I wished I had taken the time out and let them self wean.
