we used something called "allerief" when ellie had chickenpox - no idea if it helped or not to be honest but on the nhs direct website it said you can give them something to stop the itching - the pharmacist recommended this..it's a liquid.
to be honest hers looks v similar to how ellie's was at it's peak, we took a photo but I don't know how to get it off the camera onto the laptop or I'd post it! I was amazed at how many spots there were..and she was v poorly for about 4 days having a really high temp. Ellie was like a limpet on me the whole time, crying and saying "scratchy"...!
I did read somewhere that you can put oats in a pair of tights and run this under the bathwater and it helps to dry them out (water goes creamy) but I only found this out after ellie had hers so I don't know if it's true. You can also put bicarb of soda in the bath to help stop the itching.. I don't know if you can put them both in at the same time tho?!
I know how horrid it is but you're doing all you can with the medicine, I hope she's feeling better soon, Greedy, x
