I've been potty training Eds today. I took his nappy of after breakfast around 9am and he had a wee in his potty at about 10.15am. I then put him in a potty for his nap and lunch at 11am til 2pm. I took that nappy off and he hasnt done anything. I keep asking him, he'll sit on the potty, but no wee.

I have just put a nappy on him to eat his dinner. The thing is he normally wees lots, his nappys are always wet so why hasnt he weed, he doesnt seem bothered by the potty. I have searched and havent found any secret hiding place yet!

Is this normal? I could imagine it with poo's but not with wee's.

Perhaps he's getting more control over his bladder. Sometimes less wetness can be an indication that he's really ready for big pants!

If he's otherwise well I wouldn't worry. But if his wee does seem a strong colour and smell (when he does go!) that could mean he's a dehydrated.

Seems to be doing well though!

Thanks Lynie. He is drinking lots and his wee isnt strong colour or smell. I've left him in his nappy now because frankly I'm exhausted! I'll try again tomorrow. Was just a bit concerned as its so unusual for him.
