I am still in agony. The suppostories helped with the pain and the Lactoluse did help with being constipated, but to still be in so much pain for nearly 3 weeks can't be right.

I sit and cry on the loo cos it hurts so much trying to pass a movement.

He said to carry on with the Lactoluse and see how I go, but I can't go on like this much longer.

I'd go back and see your doctor. It may be you need something else to help get rid on them. Sending you gentle hugs!

I am sure that you can have them removed, i would definetly go straight back to your dr's and tell them excatly how you are and ask to have them removed as the pain is unbearable.

If the lactulose isnt working..try something else chica.  It is unbearable and im fully on your side on that one.  Ask for some movecol..its a lot nicer (bit stinky) on the system, works for me chica..but im mixing movecol and senokot together at the mo to shift me..getting there.  You need to keep taking it for a while rather than stop taking it once things get going.  Once things start shifting it does take a while for the ouchiness to go away, and you have my full sympathy chica

Go back and see the doc chica if your still in pain

Personal question, but is the pain on the outside or is it your tummy that is the problem? Lactulose helps to make the waste product  (more polite than poo!) softer and easier to pass, but it won't necessarily help it to get moving. Have you tried Senakot? Take 2 tablets before you go to bed and they start to stimulate the bowel overnight to help you go. If you're really blocked up, you might need to take them for a few nights to get things working.

I know its grim, but prune juice is very good too, and fresh orange juice.

If it is piles, using germoloids like Nicki says will help the external pain.

PS - If you don't mind suppositories, you can buy glycerin suppositories over the counter and they really are very effective for constipation.
