In my case, I have one uterus that is split into two, making two smaller uterii. Each uterus has one fallopian tube and ovary. This was discovered when I was about 15. I had severe pain in my right side and was rushed to the hospital with suspected appendicitis. Turns out (through many tests and an exploratory laproscopy) that I have uterus didelphys and my right uterus did not have an opening. I had to have another surgery to "create" an opening and a cervix for my right uterus and was told that if I ever got pregnant in that uterus, chances are I wouldn't be able to give birth naturally. I'm currently pg in my left uterus, which is great, because there is still a good chance I can give birth naturally.
I was just wondering if anyone else has uterus didelphys and if so, what your experiences have been.

That was one thing I was worried about when I found out I had this. And I still was not sure how long it would take for me to get pg. But it only took a couple of months.
She's due on November 9th. The doc just informed me that I may have to stop working in the next couple of weeks to stay home and relax. The ligament pain is pretty bad since all the weight of uterus/baby is on my left side.

Congratulations on your pg, your baby is due on the day me and dp got together 9 years ago.
I have never had any experience of your condition from friends or myself but hope that it does not cause you to much pain through out your pg.

Congratulations on your pregnancy! I hope the rest of the pregnancy goes ok for you and try not to worry what will happen at the birth. All you have to think about is no matter how you give birth you will have a bundle of joy at the end of it. Take care xx

Thanks everyone! So far so good. I'm going to do some more research on my own about this though. Pays to be informed even if you do have a good doc that's dealt with this before.

I don't have any experience of this myself but wanted to congratulate you on your pregnancy, I hope it all goes well. I have heard of people with double uterous before and also heart shaped uterous but that is normally caused by a medication that your mother would have taken during pregnancy. Good luck.
