Doesn't seem that long ago I was doing all this with Cameron. I agree with the other mums - just go out as norm. I always took Cameron to the loo before we left the house (and he still gets sent now every time before we leave - often arguing that he doesn't need, then I hear him going!) Extra clothes and lots of toilet stops is the way to go. Cameron then got into a stage of asking for the toilet wherever we went - I think just so he could inspect them, as 9 times out of 10 he never went when we got there. You'll be surprised how quickly they get the hang of it though.

lol sunny! Ruthie went through a stage of getting into one of the spare beds at my mum's house and weeing, even though she never had accidents at any other time. Infuriating and quite bizarre! Every time she went out the room at my mum's house, one of us jumped up and followed her, just incase!

xxx

Well, we've had our 1st proper outing today (went to mil's on sunday but that doesn't count!) and it all went very weel! She had a wee before we went, then we drove off, went to the library and to get her feet measured, then back to the library again to pick some books.

I kept asking her if she needed a wee, and she kept saying no until we got back to the library. Typically, the main loo was out of action and the disabled one was in use so I hid round the corner and wipped the potette out - and hurrah! Success!

I've got a pad/cushon thing for the car seat too, although she didn't need it on this occassion! So hurrah! Feeling much better about things, we're still having accidents but its not even been a week yet so am more than pleased with that! Thanks all.

I got Louis some training knickers from mothercare, they are like a normal knicker but have a waterproof outer so that if he does an accident he's not going to saok his clothes or his pram/carseat but he'll still feel wet and know he's had a wee.

They are a god send i used these with harrison too, Louis just thinks they are normal knickers.

Yes it is! In fact I have 2, 1 for my car, 1 for DH's as he takes her to nursery/sis's and I pick her up. I got mine on ebay - 2 for £10.49 inc P&P. They fit really well in the seat and have a loop thing to go round the buckle. I wanted to get one as where I live, most activities/friends/family etc are at least 15 mins away and if we go into Leicester, its 40 mins in the car. They're machine washable and v thin so would dry quick.

Well done!

I confess I have gone back to stage zilch with Eds training. It was going well in the house but I was sticking him back in nappies when we left the house and it all got too complicated. I think I'll wait to get my hen weekend over and DP will never cope with the stress and then try again. I cant put him in training pants as eds bum is too small! He wears pull up nappies anyway.

Madz if i was you i may be possibly inclined to wait untill after you get back from your honeymoon, im sure i read somewhere that you are leaving him for a while. If you are busy and stressed with the wedding then the last thing you need to worry about is potty training, i would wait and do it when you come back all nice and relaxed from your wedding and honeymoon.

Well done Ella xxx
