I think there is an operation that you can have, although you would need to ask more about it. I dont think it is a long term solution, but maybe if it can keep the cysts at bay long enough for a few cycles so you can conceive it may be worth it.

Once you have had time to think things through, it will be easier to see that other options available to you. Take some time for yourself to get your head round this, then sit with your doctor and talk about what can be done and what options you have.

Becky I just read you post and I am very sorry to hear your news.

A friend of mine has pcos too and she has a son Micheal who is the same age as Rachel, she did have to take fertility drugs and have scans every month but she has a lovely son to show for it.

My sil also has pcos and has 2 children, a boy and a girl, she too took fertility drugs too.

All I can say is in this day and age, there is so many options out there and while I know the news is very heart breaking don't loose faith. your gp will go through all your options with you.

Sending you a huge hug.

Again thank you all for your kind words i agree with some of you that i do need to get my head round this news i guess im just feeling sorry for myself.Once i have come to terms with the results of todays scan i think i will be able to see a light at the end of the tunnel so to speak we both just feel  that some one has it in for us all we want is a baby and we have had so many hurdels to overcome.

There are so many unwanted children born and raised by young or unfit mothers and that gets to me that they put it about and pop babies out like you wouldn't believe yet so many couples out there have difficulties or cant have children.

I hope things do start looking up for you. I have no idea what you are going through and can not begin to understand how you are feeling. All I can do is send love and hugs from here.
I know it may seem hard but have you considered other possibilities? My partner was fostered then adopted so was raised by someone else. They were his aunt and uncle but he spent time in a care home and he understands there are so many needy children out there. When our own children have grown up were going to look at fostering.
Big hugs xx

so sorry to hear this. try taking your mind out somewhere. watch your favorite movie or just talk to someone who can understand how you feel. but in the end do not forget that there is hope and one day (very soon) you will be blessed with a baby.

Hi Becky. Just wanted to add to what others have said with some encouragement...

A friend of mine has severe PCOS, as does her sister. Both of them were told that they were extremely unlikely to conceive. My friend was about to start taking clomid, which her GP prescribed to help with ovulation and then found that she was pg - after 2 years of trying. Her sister's DF has a very low sperm count and so they were in the process of starting fertility treatment. She'd been taking clomid for a few months, and she now has a little boy - without actually getting to the assisted conception stage.

I know thats that of little consequence to you but just wanted to say that I'm thinking of you, and to hang on in there. Talk to your GP about the results, and lets see what they can do for you. Don't give up! You only need 1 good egg and 1 good sperm so between you, I'm sure they're there, they just might need a little help getting together.

Hugs to you
