Hi there, i'm new to this site, but i was wondering what other mum's thought of my situation.
My periods are irregular, but usually every 6/7 weeks, well i'm 12 weeks late, also over the last 2 weeks i've been really nauseus and sleeping all the time for a couple of months, this is sibsiding over the last 2 days though. I nearly fainted 2 months back and thought nothing of it and have been generally "unwell".I've had countless other "pregnancy" symptoms over the last 5 weeks, but i haven't had sex in 13 weeks so i thought nothing of it at the time. I saw some spotting this morning but i can't get to my doctors to comfirm im pregnant and there is no way i can afford a home test.I'm going to London on friday to see my family for a week, and i know i'm gonna be invited all over the place for drinks and stuff but i cant go, i dont know how long they'll believe the "i dont feel well" excuse as ive been out with flu before because i hardly see them! I can't really talk to mymum about it because she's stressed out with one thing or another and she generally doesn't need it yet.
I don't know why i posted this now ive typed it, i guess i just needed someone to make me realise that it isn't in my imagination anymore Thanks for reading anyway

Firstly, welcome to madmum's, I am Emma, a stepmum to 2 girls Jamie 15 and Natasha 12 and mum to ds William 4 and dd Kimi 2.
Are you happy to be pg? and if so then let yourself get used to it before telling evryone, but i would suggest seeing a dr as soon as possible, just to confirm it first.
Everyone on here is really helpful and full of information and we have a buddy scheme too which might be able to help you.

A home test can be very reliable. You can pick them up quite cheap these days. Or your local family planning clinic might be able to help. If not make an emergency GP appt, most surgeries keep a few slots free every day. Tell your family you have a minor ear infection and are on antibiotics you can't drink with. I used that excuse. If you are so far gone you need to see a doctor soon as you will need midwifery care. I wish you all the best. Feel free to ask any questions you want. I'm Maddy by the way, I'm 23 and mummy to 2 year old Edward. Welcome to madmums.

Just tell your family you are on antibiotics for an ear infection or water infection or something like that so can't drink. You need to get your pregnancy confirmed and also have relevant tests. Why can't you go to a doctor? You can buy very cheap hpt's on ebay for a fraction of the price from the chemist.

Hiya and welcome to Madmums. I'm Amanda, im 25 and a mum to 4 children. I think you deffinately need to know either way if you are pregnant or not before you go away if possible if only for your own peace of mind. If your period is already 12 weeks late... and you are pregnant, you really need to get everything checked out and dated. A home pregnancy test is the easiest way to confirm it if you cant get to your doctors just yet, but i would give them a ring and explain your situation and i'm sure they can fit you in. I hope you can get your self sorted, and i wish you the best of luck either way hun. Please let us know how you get on. x-x-x

Hi. Your local family planning clinic may be able to help out - the one near me does a no-appointment service and will do a pregnancy test for you. You can find your nearest one using mulitmap of all things! Click HERE
Alternatively, you could go to your nearest NHS walk in centre - click HERE
Like the others have said, its definately worth finding out as soon as poss, if only for your own sanity.
