Can you have cravings even before you have a bFP ???

This evening I just had to have fried eggs. I am trying not to get my hopes up.

lol Lynie - I had same craving when pregnant with Rebecca! I used to crunch through between 7 and 10 a night - everyone used to sit cringing! My mum was frightened I'd give myself a chill. My ex used to drive round the garages and empty their freezers at 1am (no 24 hr Asda in those days hehe!)

Not sure about how early you could have cravings, Martha. Lets hope that's what it is. Are you feeling ok apart from the fried egg thing? xxx

I seem to recall that they say cravings start about 1 to 2 months after conception. That said, I crave fried eggs most of the time and thats got nothing to do with ttc!

I don't know to be honest - I think my cravings started around 8 weeks when I walked into a shop - bought a tin of anchovies and ate them on the 2 min walk to my parents. I only realised what I'd done when I got there!

It could be psychological - with it being your first month trying and your DP saying he thought you were pg, but I hope it's the result you want!

When did cravings start when you were pg before?

Please don't take this the wrong way but I doubt that its connected to whether you are pregnant or not. Cravings in early pregnancy are often for things with extreme flavours for example really salty food (like Madz anchovies) or really starchy foods. Its all linked to the hormones and the bodys reaction.

Hang in there and lets see what the next few weeks bring.

It is not against all hope Martha - you have fallen pg once and chances are you will do it again.

None of us want to get your hopes up to be dashed but that doesnt mean you arent pg!

Try not to worry too much - what will be will be!
