Hi,
Sophie had this when she was small. If the medicine is quite thick, try putting on your finger then rubbing it in. Make sure your hands are very clean first though.

If your lo is refusing the medicine, go back to your gp and ask for a cream. You can very easily rub this onto the affected areas. The thrush needs to be treated quickly to clear it up. Worth another trip to the docs to get the best stuff. I have never had a syringe to give my kids thrush treatment, they always had the cream as it is much more effective!

Do you have Nystatin for the oral thrush? If so you really need to give it to her neat and not mix it with anything. I am afraid you may have to be cruel to be kind with it. My middle daughter used to suffer quite badly with it and didn't like the medicine I used to wrap her in a towel and lay her over my knee, talking to her constantly and just very quickly squirt it into her mouth, she didn't like it much but it did clear up the thrush. Also try using natural unsweetened yoghurt just see if she will eat it, it's quite soothing and will help clear up the thrush.

I would agree with Sam, the medicine is designed to stick to her mouth to treat the thrush directly, so mixing it with anything else will defeat the object. I'm afraid you're the boss, and she'll have to take her medicine!
Just hope you don't get too many bruises if she's a kicker like my two!!
