hi all, its me again; needed some advice on ovulation. i always have a 28 days cycle and get AF on 29the day. this has never changed for the last 3-4 years. however last month instead of getting my AF on 6th august, i got them on 8th august. so my cycle chnaged to 30 days. i believe it could be due to stress as i have my in laws over for more than a month now and it is taking a toll on me.

for the next xycle i have all the symptoms of ovulating on the day 12 of my cycle (instead of 14). so it is possible that my cycle is still set on 28 days and day 12 was actualy day 14. i am not sure if i am able to explain it clearly. what i mean is my body is following the cycle from 6th aug even though i actually got AF on 8th aug.

Hello, each cycle you have is new and can be different than a previous cycle, most women do settle into a pattern. Your luteal phase does not tend to change by more than a day every month, what can change is the time before you ovulate. Stress, illness and travel can all change the length of time before you ovulate. If you typically have a 28 day cycle then you will probably 9 times out of 10 follow a 28 day cycle.
