Louis has had a rash at the very top of his bum,  I thought it was nappy rash so have used bepanthen on it along with vaseline.  He has had this for about 3 weeks ish, but over the weekend it started to weep and bleed.

I took him to the doctors this morning and she said its infected eczema or weeping eczema.  She gave him some betnovate rd and some hydrocortizone cream.  I feel really awful leaving him so long.

Harrison has eczema which flares up every now and then behind the knees and between his legs but it looks nothing like what Louis has.

He's playing on it now saying 'ouch sore' lol making me feel even more guilty.

I know i shouldn't beat myself up over it but i left him 3 weeks

Nappy rash and eczema can look really similar - that was an easy mistake to make. I had the same problem with Rebecca when she was a baby. Wee soul - hope it clears up quickly.

Don't beat yourself up it's not your fault.  Dr's call any skin rash excema or dermatitus now when I was a kid (yes a long time ago) it was a rash...  Is near the top of his nappy?  It might just be where he has been warm with the nappy against his skin.  Hopefully the cream will clear it up quickly.  Fran gets excema behind her knees, ears and around her arm crease, I only ever seem to get it when my UC flares or I am pregnant.
