aww hun poor noah and poor guinea pig, have you tld him yet? i dont know what to suggest appart from just saying he was poorly and hes gone to a nice place with all the other guinea pigs to play and do great things big hugs to him bless luv jue xx

I agree with others, tell him the truth, offer to help him bury Funny and see if he wants a replacement and let him choose. Sorry its not been a good week for Noah! Hope he settles into school soon x

Well, I told him when he got home from school today (where he had a much better time today - thanks for all your well wishes - despite gouging his face in the bushes...). He did that awful thing where they dont make a sound, just look really sad and the tears start rolling. So we had a big hug and I explained that Funny was lucky really because he'd had such a happy life and had been so well looked after and loved by Noah, and that we'd never forget him. He does want to get another one, so we're going to give it week or so to make sure that they don't have some illness that the others have also got (I don't think they have, I think it was just one of those things but want to be sure) and then we'll get him another. He did ask if he could have a chameleon instead, but haven't been able to persuade DH on that one!
