Jeeeesh ive never had to argue so much in my life to get my point across....they werent kidding when its a case of convince a doctor!

Now when i saw him in January about a sterilisation he said yep come see me at the end of your treatment and ill refer you..so off I bimbled today..as you do lol.

He asked me if id discussed it with my husband...well duuuur yes and he agrees with me.  Right..now you do realise there are other options available to you..ok what are they...right erm your husband could have a vasectomy (yeah cos thatd happen lol) of which i said no thats not happening cos if it comes down to it then at least joe could start over again if that makes sense..erm theres the depo injection...no chance....one its a needle and two its hormones so thats not happening either what else is there...erm theres the coil...ill tell you where you can shove that one!  After pointing out to many family adverse reactions to it he agreed with me lol.

I said I want the sterlisation done..so im not panicking every month, we are not risking a hormone surge and that I wont have to make a heart wrenching decision any time in the near future...and im not going 5 years with hardly any nookie!!  Id rather have time with my girls than not a lot of time with a baby..and that swung the doc and he agreed to refer me...wooohooo...oh yeah and then he told me id be getting the flu jab!  I swear he did it on purpose there was me thinking no more needles..but no he gets his own back on me!

Picked up a pg test, as well as my prescription for manky tongue.  Got home..did the test and phew its negative..ill do another one next week just to make sure.

Phoned the number on the letter he gave me under this book and choose referral thing thats started up..and im booked in with the gynae peeps on the 25 Sept in the afternoon to have a chat.  The doc said that ultimately the decision is down to the gynae peeps, but he said in all onesty he couldnt see them refusing me as ive got through the first stage of it.

So yay...24 Sept finish rads, 25 Sept Gynae peeps, 3 Oct blooming jab!  So many things to look forward to lol.

What is the waiting list in your area if they agree to do it?  Hope it's not too long.  The flu jab is ok but if they offer you the pneumonia one with it that can make you quite poorly for a few weeks afterwards.  I have to have the flu jab for UC as it's an immune problem having to take steroids on and off.

Im only getting the flu jab this year as my body has taken a hammering for some strange reason lol, and the doc thinks its a good idea.  At least I wont need to have it next year phew.

Not sure on the waiting list side of things.  Stafford hozzie (one behind the house) couldve given me a morning appointment for next week..but am up in stoke every morning and dont get home sometimes til half 11.  Thing is I have the appointment the day after my rads finishes so I wont have to wait for rads to finish if that makes sense.  Ill carry on cooking for two weeks after they finish zapping me..so im guessing its going to be middle of october before they can come near me anyway.

The sooner its done the better

My flu jab last year gave me a nasty flu!  I've only had proper flu 3 times, the first when I was pg with ds2, the second not too long back, and the third after my jab!  Maybe this year I'll make sure I'm full of health before I get mine!  As for sterilisation, if it's what you want then go for it!  I pushed my gynae bloke to sterilise me, it helped that I'd had really bad treatment through this last pg, so when I told him neither I nor my family could go through that c**p again, he said if they section me they will do it.  I'm considering a total pull out, as I am having horrendous pmt and unless the doc can give me something for it, then I am not willing to go through this forever!

I told my doc I will be having the whole lot removed in 5 years, and he suggested i wait til then to get done...told him where he could put that suggestion!

If I get fixed now, the tamoxifen does its job for 5 years..that puts me at just short of 36, which is round about the normal ish age that women have a hysterectomy which puts me at an even keel with everyone else...shocked me when the doc said...ah yes, that does sound right..hmm I see your point..ahh yes cos we couldnt give you HRT..hmm ok.

I could be a doctor lol...i can do hmmmms and ahhhhh yes with the best of them
