If you are a Nicole Kidman fan then a must watch film. Nicole is great in this, playing a South African born American citizen. Her accent is faultless as is her acting.
Sean Penn who plays a secret service protector is also brilliant. I have never been a Sean Penn fan and was put off by him in his early films when he was married to Madonna. He has certainly matured well and plays his character brilliantly.
The story line is a little shaky in places and sometimes hard to follow especially if you have to go and feed a baby twice whilst watching it. Altogether a really good watch as the acting more than makes up for the weaker story line.
The Blurb:
A Sydney Pollack film. A great action-thriller... if you liked the Bourne movies, you'll love this.
After a UN interpreter Silvia Broome overhears a plot to assassinate an African head of state, the US Secret Service is brought in to investigate, in the shape of hard-bitten agent Tobin Keller, who nonetheless suspects she may not be telling the whole truth. Realsiing she has become a target of the assassins as well, the interpreter is deperate to thwart the plot....if only she can survive long enough to get someone to belive her.
