Hmm hard to tell really as with having UC I have chronic tummy pain anyway. My scar still hurts on one side and is still numb in places. It is certainly tender all along the top of the scar if I press on it. Sometimes it is worse than other times it seems to come and go. The same with the epidural site in my back sometimes it feels really bruised and other times it is normal. I was told when I had mine to expect some discomfort for at least 6-8mnths. Ollie is 6mnths this week so still a couple of months really before I am meant to be normal

He probably dismissed it because he doesn't know or have the answer to your question. My gp keeps telling me I have oral thrush because of the mouth ulcers, I must have had oral thrush for the last 23yrs then! The GI consultant says it's because of the UC and not to listen to the gp. The problem with gp's is although they do a brilliant job and some have specialist areas in general they can't answer questions on specific issues because they haven't the knowledge in that feild. My gp was an aneasthetist so is great if you want to know anything about sedation....
