Hello Ladies.

Well i've had a right day of it today.
Had a phone call from school just after lunch time to say that Shannon had cut her head and it was bleeding quite bad so could i come up to fetch her.
I'd only just got through the door from fetching Harry from school, so we rushed back up to find her half asleep slumped on a chair waiting for me!
She had somehow managed to fall on an open cupboard door and make a huge gash right under the corner of her right eye just on the top of her cheek bone... well, it was a wide open hole to be precise.. So off we popped to the A&E department to get it sorted.

She had an xray to make sure she hadn't fractured or broke the bone, and luckily everythings fine, she just had to have 2 small stiches in it the brave little thing!
She already has a massive black eye and bruised cheek bone and is complaining of being sleepy so I'm trying to keep her awake for a bit longer untill its bedtime.

She was so brave today so had an ice cream treat for pudding,

The school nurse put pressure and an ice pack on her eye to stem the bleeding and as i only live about 5 mins away, they called me asap and the A&E is just over the road too (luckily for me)
They did give me the relevant leaflet's.. but this isn't the first time one of mine have had a head injury, and i'm pretty sure she wont be the last either lol
Thanks for your concern girlies.

cool i'm glad there ok, i unfortunatly know the sheet of by heart due to voluntary work i did before spd flared up in my second pregnancy.

Hope the swelling doesn't get much bigger, if so just cold pack and if its bruising might be worthwhile getting some arnicna in (helps bring out the bruise quickly and therefore it goes quicker)

Aw poor wee thing. Hope she has an ok night and it's not too painful for her. What a brave girl - think that icecream pudding was definitely well deserved.

xxx

Aw! Poor thing! Hope she's feeling better soon. Is your heart rate back to normal yet?

Does everyone know how she did it? If not, tell her to say "you should see the other guy" when anyone comments on it!
