Do any of you suffer with painful period cramps? I never really have until after my last mc and the last 2 cycles have been quite horrid. I am not on heavy at all which almost makes it worse. The pain is in my hips and down my legs to my knees. I take regular paracetamol and use my wheat cushion but it doesn't help that much. I also have a bad headache for the first day of af which I presume is hormonal. Anybody out there with a miracle cure?

I have very irregular periods due to the coil, i can go months without them but when I do get af, Its always very painful. I get neurofen heat patches which you apply/stick to the outside of your underware (to the tummy area, they are discreet) and they supply upto 8 hours of heat to the area.
They honestly do work, they dont half help to ease the discomfort.

God yes!
I have always had bad period pains. When I was at school the pains were all across my back, I had horrible cramping and I always felt like I needed a poo (sorry tmi) it wasnt fun! When I was 17 I started the pill and I was better. I fell pg on it so I couldnt go bck on it so I tried all sorts. What now happens is I get v bed back, stomach, hip, groin and head pain on top of normal PMT, It isnt fun.
I use painkillers, evening primrose oil, B12 vit, wheat bags, etc - all then normals. It helps but I need a more miricle cure. The prob with you is you cant do anything hormone wise because of TTC so you just need to do everything painkilling wise and hope its worth it. If I think of anything else i'll let you know - i certainly sympathise with you, i know its awful.

I suffer with bad pains and have had them now for the past 3 weeks but no sign of my first AF after having Billy. I use feminax and a hot water bottle and it seems to do the trick for me. Hopefully things will settle down for you soon, your body has been through so much this year and it needs time to get back to how it should be.

I've had 3 since having jamie back in may.. and all of them have been really heavy and very painful..
I don't take anything for it tho, i have found exercise is really good.. i go Tae kwon-do 3 times a week, and the days i don't go tkd, i go for a long walk around the park.. or just try to keep busy.. at night i use a hot water bottle or heat pad.. they are really good.
If i sit still for a while, the pain get really bad.

Nicki you are right if I sit still for long it makes it worse. My Nan used to tell me when I was younger if you get period cramps to go and dig the garden. I was feeling tired and sorry for myself yesterday as well as sick and in pain all day, so didn't feel like moving. Went to bed early with my wheat cushion and feel much better today. Oh they joys of being a woman....

I've always had painful periods too. It's such a miserable thing, and really affected my life. I just have to keep topped up with the pain killers and put a hot water bottle to my tummy. In the first couple of days I'd feel drained too. Yes, the joys!

I was going to suggest CuraHeat pads that you can get for period pains. I don't use them but have used the ones for back pain and they were great! Stay warm for ages! Hope something helps you. I don't often suffer pains but when I do I know how you fel, just want to curl up with warm wheat bag!
