I had my first daughter nearly 19 yrs ago and things had certainly changed when I had my son 2 yrs ago.  I think it's up to the local health authority whether they come out to you or not.  Here we have the choice of going to them or them coming to us for the initial booking in appointment, then unless you are under consultant care you go to your gp surgery where you see the mw, apart from scans and to give birth you don't have to go to the hospital at all which is nice.

I had Billy 8 weeks ago and the changes between being pregnant with him and with Aimee (2) were amazing.  I received a lot more care this time though I was having a difficult time of things.  Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy.

I have received less care with this pregnancy than I did with DD (2 in October).

I am 13+5 and haven't seen a MW yet (they don't see us until 16 weeks now)!!!

I was supposed to be receiving more care according to my consultant this time around but I haven't lol! I then go to the hospital for a scan at 20 weeks (don't see MW then), the next appt is with MW at 24 weeks, 28 weeks, 32 weeks and 36 weeks, then every 2 weeks or so?

It's a load of crud here!
