I was running so late this morning, and when I got to school the teacher informed me it was Joshua's turn to do baking in school. So I had to run back to the car to get some money to pay for it. Then I went off having had a ticking off from the teacher for not having an apron (Ive ordered it on line last week its just not shown up lol)

Anyway I goes to pick him up this afternoon and he comes running out with a white cling filmed plate. I was really excited for him (his face was all lit up) about having been baking. He produced the plate and showed me a sandwich lolol.. a jam sandwich (lemon curd actually lol) I couldnt believe it, and to make matters worse, on closer inspection at home he hadnt even put the butter on lol. Well if he did it was perfect. The bread was perfectly buttered with blobs of lemon curd dotted over it. i was proud of him because he was so proud of himself, but really.. how can the school justify that as a baking session and make us pay lolol It would have been cheaper to send all the ingrediants in and have him make me a loaf of sandwiches lol

Ethan doesn't do baking - or hasn't yet anyway but Ellie does it a nursery. On wednesday they baked cake - not normal cake though, a weird sort that was yellow and looked like jelly??? She wouldnt eat it anyway.

Lol bless him.

I don't know how schools can charge such rates any way. I brought my son two jumpers for this term (new) and they've already come apart at the seams!

It's amazing how the little bits all add up!

I must say the school uniform is very cheap, and good quality. Joshua had 3 sets bought start of term last year, and he still wearing the t shirts now, the jumpers are ok just faded and the trousersd are perfect but to short (anyone need boys nazy 22" school trousers?) They are a fraction of the price Trudi' pays for hers, and Jen pays for hers, I did the whole uniform Clarks shoes and Adams coatS included for under £80 and he got 3 new sets of uniform.
