For the past few days I have been feeling like a pushing down feeling (like baby is dropping), I get a few tightenings (2 or 3 an hour). With this I get Login or Register to view images and tummy ache (like period pain) and my lady bits swell up and get really sore. That sore I cant sit on the loo because all the presure pushing down hurts so much. IM 28 WEEKS NOW

My lady bits is the most painful the other pains are quite mild and are constant they dont come and go. The tummy tightenings are not painful more uncomfortable.

Is this BH or should I be worried? I have been getting alot of watery discharge.

I asked the midwife and she said when it happends to go to the hospital. I have noticed it happends every day it starts off mild in the morning but by night comes I am really uncomfortable. It was that bad last night I very nearly rang the hospital. I cant go running to the hospital everyday. I dont want to bother them if there is nothing wrong.

What the hell is it? BH or normal pregnancy thing. I dont remember being this uncomfortable with Leah (well not till 35+ weeks anyway), well it has been nearly 2 years since I was last pregnant, Iv had alot of sleep since then

I get swollen lady bits from about 23 weeks on and off. Had it with first 2 and starting to get it now. Not sure on Bh though as Ive never experienced them though.
If you're getting worried just pop down to the hospital just in case. It will put your mind at rest.

It does sound like BH to me.  I've just been through a pregnancy and had all what you are describing from aout 26 weeks.  If you are at all concerned dont hesitate to call the hospital or you MW for advice.

I had these symptoms during my last pregnancy. It got so bad I had to go to the doctor as I felt like my lady bits were twice the size literally.

I was told I had a bad case of vaginal varicosities These are like haemorroids but in the vaginal and they are caused by the pressure of your growing uterus on your veins in your perineum, this causing swollen veins. They are usually not serious but may cause aching and soreness, and are really uncomfortable

The doctor said mine were so bad she would like a student doctor to see. UMMMM no thanks! There really was nothing I could do but I found putting a chilled (not frozen...ouch)face cloth of my bits releaving them greatly.

Unfortunately there is no medication you can take..I asked if I could use anusol as it would at least help shrink them, she advised against it, as the cream could thin the skin.

I  minimized lifting my 14 month old as the strain made it worse...I also became obsessed about not getting constipated as I was not going to strain and put more pressure on my bits...as that was agony.

The good news is this condition completly disappears as you give birth, as the babies head cuts of the blood supply to them...so you get your baby and say good by to the veins!

I hope this is not what you have...try and rest!

Hi,

I don't have any experience about the pains, sorry. But the watery discharge, could it have anything to do with your waters breaking?. When my waters broke at 30 weeks it was just a little watery dribble (I thought it was a bit of wee escaping), anyway Iwent to hosp and they confirmed my waters were broken.

Three days later in hospital all the doctors wanted me to go home but I insisted in staying there and have the baby checked everyday a couple of times... and I am glad I did because two days after this my labour started and Athina was born (tiny, but healthy and strong)

Can't you go to hosp to have those discharges checked?...

I hope all goes very well.

Isabel

I think Im more worried about wasting the hospitals time, I hate going in just for them to check me over say im fine look at me like Im a compete waste of time and say you can go. I dont want anything to be wrong of course I just dont like wasting time.

The pains are a little worse. Period type pains but they dont come and go there constants. When I have a tightening the back aches gets worse.

Im sure Ill be fine, I doubt its anything serious because the pains are constant they dont come and go.
