Rhona I am sorry you are having such a bad time with Thomas but
please don;t think its any reflection on you - its not.

Good on you for writing it all down - it must be such a hard thing to
do to show your true feelings but it can only help in the long run

I echo all that Lynie and Diz have said and you are taking positive
steps for your state of mind so that can only help in the long run

As for Thomas, try the book and test a few methods and find one
that works for you.

Lily can be a MONSTER too and I am in full sympathy with you its so
draining and you have a tiny baby to cope with too!

Sendin you hugs and I'll see you tomorrow night for coffee and cake!

I'm in agreement Rhona, having such a hard time with one child is by no means a reflection on you being a bad mother!  As you know I have 3 older kids, I have raised them all with the same amount of love and discipline, yet the middle of the 3 I can't trust with a barge pole, and often feel like nothing I say or do gets through to him.  And again, Fred and Winston are totally different as well.  A full day with just Winston is playful, fun, easy going, but a full day with Fred (until the digger was up) is a nightmare, nothing keeps him entertained for long, he has bitten, scratched, spat at, and well definitely ignored me.  But finally having really stuck at it solidly, with no margin for 'a little bit naughty', he has started responding.  It is hard going whether you are on happy pills or not, but having pnd just makes it all seem so much worse.  It's great you have a support system with your hv etc, not sure what to suggest with childcare, but Good luck with getting everything sorted (you first).  tc xxxx

hi,im sorry i dont think theres much else i can add.i agree with what everyone has said and i think that by no means is this a reflection on you as a mother or woman.

im thinking of you  xxx ps,i dont think banning the playroom is too harsh at all, have you thought about having 2 boxes-ask him to fill one with his fav toys...and have the other empty..every time hes naughty take away one of his toys and dont allow it back till the next day...?

xxx
