Hi Ladies ,

Well we are back from our fertility clinic appt and as you can see from the title i wont be getting a baby or help, according to the silly cow im too FAT for help so im not getting any  .

I broke down in her office  and she wasnt sorry or tried to help or anything just told me to go back to gp for pills which i doubt ill get anyway as gp said before that this wasnt a good route to take as they are not a lifetime solution .

so now im in tears and f*cked off with the nhs and cant be bothered to want a baby now so that really helped didnt it .

thanks for reading

Oh Becky I am soooo sorry this women was so insenisitve. It really is the pits!

I hate to make light of what she said...because it sounds awful and I would be just as angry, and to be truthful these stupid rules are one of the many reasons we left the UK.

BUT losing weight is something you can do....yes it will be hard but I can promise you by losing a little bit of weight will increase your chance of concieving and aide the symptoms of PCOS. Take one day at a tim...you can do this for your baby.

It is horrible that this is the way the system is, even worse that they don't train there staff to motivate there patients instead of making them feel helpless.

I wish I could give you a big hug, please don't give up on having a baby...I know you would be a wonderful mother.

Beckiy hunny    .  This infuriates me  - if ur carrying a bit of weight then some of the medical profession write you off.  I wrote the book hunny!!!  I totally sympathise with you - the times ive been knocked back for treatments cos of my weight doesnt bare thinking about!

Keep your chin up hunny - and remember - we're here for a natter any time!!

This is one of the reasons i don't go for treatment with the pain in my legs and hips as all they ever say is lose weight, then if it still hurts come back and see us again,  great help when somedays you can't move properly as the pain is so bad.

Have you tried giving dh tomato soup, it is meant to boost sperm into super sperm.

I am so sorry to hear you were treated like that,Becky....and so angry for you too. Don't give up hope. There are some people who just shouldn't be in the profession they are in - there is no excuse for treating patients that way.

Sending you a huge hug

xxx

OMG !!! Why do they judge people on what they weigh ? It's the person inside that counts.

I'm so so sorry Becky. We are always here for you.
