Hi and welcome to Madmums. I'm so sorry to hear you're feeling this way.

I'm Hazel, and I have a daughter who is 2 and a half. I had severe post natal depression after I had my DD and looking back, I now know I had antenatal depression also. Even though you are feeling like you are now, its not definite that you'll get PND again when you have this baby, so hold on to that.

I agree with what the others say and think that your GP or HV is the best place to start. There are antidepressants that are safe to take in pregnancy, even in the 1st trimester so if that's whats needed, then get the help now so that you start to feel better sooner.

I'm trying for another baby at the moment and I'm scared about the AND and/or PND coming back but this time I know what to look for and if I start to go the same way, I know to take action.

Hang in there, and please do let us know how you get on talking to your GP.
