DD has been doing fantastic this week, she is dry everyday just need to do the poo part now, ds on the other hand is still trying to master pooing on this medication (movicol) we are at the hospital next month with ds, i will see if they have any answers.

I am sure he will be ready soon.

And i don't believe any of those books that promise it can be done in a week.

I think the best thing to do is wait until your both ready, its definatly less stressful that way, if he decides tomorrrow is the day then great and if its next week or next month then fine, also seeing his gf doing it might encourage him but in my experience boys are lazier than girls, but when he does give him loads of praise as im sure you will, its weird to get so excited about a wee or even poo!

Good luck xxx

Hi Madz I felt the exact same as you!

I felt Travis was ready so then wanted to train him.... and then the chaos came, didn't like potty, didn't mind if he wee'd or poo'd (rarely pooed though)

I kinda got to the stage of giving up and I may have for a day or two, but then just percevered.  I started on the 16th Sept.  He stilll has occassional wee's and still says he doesn't want/need to go.  This is where bribery comes in!!!

I made a sticker chart with plain stars, if he got 3 stars, 1 for a pee, 2 for a poo he got a small sweet (a celebration) I even at the start gave him a star for sitting on the potty just.

Hope that helps a teeny piece, I know what you are gong through and totally sympathise, I'm here if you need a chat xxxxxxxx

Thanks lorna.

I asked him this morning and he opted for nappies. So we're going to have this week off and start again fresh next week. TBH I am soooo tired today following a bad nights sleep and touch of Jet Lag and Eds has a cold so maybe it isnt the best week for us.
